I just found out today that my employment with WCSG is coming to an end. With kid #2 on the way, I'm not willing to step up and fill in the way they need to grow my position. So, a 12 year relationship is about to come to a close.
I'm not really sure how I feel about all of this. Hasn't really sunk in yet. I know that this is God's plan and his way of showing me that I need to move on. Beyond that, I really don't know much.
It's easy to get nostalgic and remember all the good-times, the people, me growing up here... I've spent almost half my life working in some capacity in radio. There have been plenty of ups and downs on this rollercoaster - but all-in-all, it's been worth the ride.

Unanticipated Time
There isn't really a better gift these days than unanticipated time. Once again, one of our junior high work projects got cancelled due to rain. That left us with a whole evening of unplanned time.
It's a great feeling to get some of those "nagging" projects off the to-do list. I don't ever expect to get to the bottom of the list, but a shorter list would be a bit less stressful.
I also fit in a few good tickle fights, wrestling matches, and some tractor books. Not a bad night at all.

Uncomfortable
I've finally entered the last trimester of pregnancy. Along with it has come the usual aches, pains, and discomforts. It's all part of the process. I'm learning that I've got to be careful about my limitations this time around.
I've also learned that I'm really uncomfortable with just laying around. I know I need to do it when I've pushed too far - too long... but somewhere along the line I've become uncomfortable with not doing something. To simply "be" is a difficult task and I've been struggling to rest, to be still, to not be in a hurry. I'm learning that rest is not the same as being lazy, I just have to learn how to feel the difference.
