Potty Training Prayer

Tomorrow morning starts our weekend-intensive potty training ordeal. We haven't been successful over the past 6 months or so to get our son to use the potty more than periodically so we're trying a different approach.

We're having a potty party! All sorts of treats for when he stays dry, more treats for when he uses the potty. All sorts of salty snack and sugary drinks to help prompt the need to use the potty... and a pizza party with cupcakes at the end of the day!

I'm really praying he wakes up in a great mood and is ready for the day. If he does it could be a successful weekend. If not, my husband is taking a day off of work for nothing. I'm really proud of him for being willing to stay home and help in the process. My son is a big time daddy's boy and is much more apt to pee in the potty if dad is there with him.

Any suggestions from potty training pros?

Rivertown Crossing's Family Bathrooms have 1/4 sized toilets. Sophi thought those were the COOLEST, and *asked* to go potty every time we went there.

Topher is right...when Kenzie was potty training we spent more time at the mall than usual b/c she enjoyed using those "baby potties" as they would call them.

Also, I heard Dr. Phill once say that you could tell them that would get a phone call from their favorite character (Thomas the Train) once they have done 'both' on the potty. My friend Amos is great at impersonations and her boys are crazy about T the Train so I bet she would be more than willing to help you out there!

Good luck to you!
